The project aims to exchange Best Practices, experience and tools concerning drug prevention at Local and National level. The adaption and transfer of the best practices identified by the 6 partner countries (Italy, Greece, Romania, France, Turkey and Portugal) related to prevention methodologies based on non-formal education will ultimately lead to the creation of an informational booklet as “Intervention Guidelines” where different ways in the planning and implementation of interventions concerning the drug prevention, especially for those at risk, will be shown. Our target groups were Youth workers and Educators while the Direct and Indirect Beneficiaries will be young people from 16 to 25 years old. It is estimated that in the testing activities at least 40 Participants with fewer opportunities will be involved.

The main output of the project will be the selection and construction of a drug prevention Catalogue/Booklet for Youth Workers and Educators (“Intervention Guideline”) using non-formal training methodologies from the Best Practices introduced and tested by the six project partners.

The expected results, as a whole, from “Towards No Drug Abuse” project are:

• encourage prevention paths through play;
• encourage social inclusion and empowerment of young people at risk;
• undertake targeted actions based on informed knowledge in order to reduce the risk of vulnerable young people;
• exchange of successful European projects in the field of prevention;
• contribute to the dissemination of policies, programs and practices that aim to reduce the negative social, economic and health consequences of the use of drugs;
• offers more information and knowledge to prevent the use of drugs among young people;
• created an environment for young people to exchange opinions and thoughts;
• reinforce communication skills among youth workers to discuss and conduct prevention activities.
